Permission to Begin - A Creative Year Zine | Month 1 A Pickle Jar Zine | Digital Download

This is your permission slip.

Permission to Begin is the first zine in the Creative Year series - a monthly companion to the Weird Girls Club's year-long read-along of Make Your Creative Dreams Real by SARK.

You do not have to be ready. You do not have to have it figured out. You just have to begin. That is what this zine is for.

What is inside:

This 8-panel single-sheet zine folds into a small booklet you can fill in, carry with you, and return to all month long.

• A permission slip: write what you are giving yourself permission to do
• What's Been Waiting: name the creative thing you have been putting off and the smallest possible first step
• Draw It Out: a doodle page for when words are not enough
• Notice / Name It / Need It: meet the fear of starting instead of hiding from it
• A closing ritual and space to record when you began

What you receive:

One printable PDF, full bleed, print-ready. Print at home on standard paper, fold, and fill in.

How to print:
Print on standard 8.5 x 11 paper. Select "fit to page" and turn off any automatic scaling. Fold in half long way once, and then three times to create your 8-panel zine. A link to some directions: https://youtu.be/4-H67SqxRO4

This zine is part of the Creative Year series. A new zine releases each month following the chapters of Make Your Creative Dreams Real by SARK. Each one stands alone, you do not need the book to use it, but it pairs beautifully if you are reading along with us.
