Permission to Wobble: A Creative Year Zine (Month 2) | Printed DIY Zine Kit with Stickers, Rejection Slips & Boarding Pass Booklet
Description:
Fear has a job. Its job is to keep you safe and small. This little zine thanks it, hands it a flashlight instead of the keys, and gets you moving anyway.
Permission to Wobble is the Month 2 companion to the Creative Dream Year, a year-long series from Inside the Pickle Jar for creative, neurodivergent, and weird-girl-at-heart humans. This month is the Land of No, and this kit is your way out of it.
This is a DIY kit. Everything arrives printed and ready. You fold, cut, and put it together yourself, which is half the fun.
What’s in the kit:
- The zine: one printed flat sheet that folds into an 8-panel mini zine in autumn watercolor
-
Printed ephemera:
- Two Rejection Slips to fill in and send to the voices that don’t get a vote
- Two pockets to attach inside your zine, cut and glue or tape
- A mini booklet, Boarding Pass to the Land of Yes with activities to get you to YES, just cut and fold
- A sheet of stickers to decorate your zine, journal, or the outside world
- Inside the zine:
- List It / Scribble It: write down your fears, then scribble them into a cloud
- The Land of Yes: a full-page map to draw. It’s the opposite of the Land of No, with a far-off island for your inside critic
- Flip It / Feel It: turn a “no” into something kinder and notice what your body does
- What’s Your Not Yet?: name what you keep putting off, and the smallest step toward it
How to put it together: Fold the sheet, cut one slit along the center, and fold into a booklet. Attach the two pockets and tuck in the Rejection Slips and the Boarding Pass booklet. Folding instructions are here: https://youtu.be/4-H67SqxRO4
Details: Sheet size: 8.5"x11". Folded zine size: 2.5"x4". Printed on cardstock. You’ll need scissors, a glue stick or tape, and your favorite pen.
Pairs with the Inside the Pickle Jar podcast, Episodes 113-116. Find it wherever you listen. Month 1 and the full series are in the shop.
